The Role

National Care Employer of the Year are looking to bank staff to joing the Transitions team.

 

The Role: Is to provide additional supervision and support to help young people leaving care maintain their licences, live their lives safely and help them to acquire essential life skills i.e. understanding benefits, budgeting, cooking and accessing education or training.

Job Hours

Bank . Shifts, including waking nights, evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays and sleepovers, are worked as part of a rota. Flexibility is required due to the nature of the job. Sleep in allowance is paid. Overtime is sometimes available. Mileage is also paid where applicable.

The Transitions team is a small team and due to the growth of the service, require the addition of a Bank Specialist Support Worker to assist them. We value honesty, commitment, flexibility, integrity and a great sense of humour!

This position is subject to satisfactory references; clear, enhanced DBS check; extensive pre-employment checks and a minimum 6 month probationary period. Whether an outcome is satisfactory will be determined by the Company.

Essential Requirements:

A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (Children) or equivalent.

A driving licence and access to a vehicle;

Previous experience of working with: Looked After Children, 16-18 years old; youth offending; care leavers; substance/alcohol misuse;

Candidates must be committed to the role and flexible as will be required to work shifts including; evenings, weekends and some nights as part of a rota.
